* Just type "" without the quotation marks(".") in your browser's web address input area and hit enter, then type within its search window like you'd do a Google search. NOTE: The 'ISTA 4.39.20("Pre-activated") + data update with 4.43.31 SDP+ BLP' is the best option for F,G,I series etc., as the latest ISTA 4.43.XX main installation 'launchers' will require a 'license' which are only offered for a fee by their 'providers'. The ISTA 4.39.20 version floatin' around is "Pre-activated" so you don't run into the 'license' issue during install. I actually install mine manually(requires manually copying the extracted 'Rheingold' folder to the C: drive and running the necessary registry edit files provided with the downloads etc. and most importantly installing the prerequisite Microsoft. NET 3.5 & 4.8, VCRedist, vs90_piaredist files. If you are not comfy with doing a manual install yourself, just run the package's installer file.Īlso, if you need ISTA for E series only, you do NOT need the latest ISTA+. In fact you cannot 'flash program' ECUs on E series with ISTA+'s SDP as they are for F,G,I,RR series, without support for E series. If all you need is diagnostic features, then you'd be fine even with older ISTA-D 3.5X versions(the latest ISTA+ versions' BLP data for E series seems to contain the exact same info in black & white as the older versions, whereas the later series have color images etc.) In fact you'd be able to shrink the older version down to like a 50GB VM(virtual machine, including the Windows 7/10 installation) by deleting SP-Daten of series models you don't need, whereas an ISTA+ installation with just updated BLP data will be at least 116GB (in a VM), and you will NOT be able to reduce its size so easily as the older versions as the bulk of the size is in the SQLiteDB(around 80GB) and these database files are such that the data within is like a vast sea of indistinguishable data(even when opened with say DB Browser).įor E series programming the latest available is ISTA-P 3.71 (a standalone VM will be around 50 or so GB). I've attached my ISTA+ install experience notes as a P.S.
